For years and years we’ve been receiving wonderful testimonials about our work. It means everything to us that people are happy with what we do. It’s time to toot our horns and so I am reviewing all of my communications from our wonderful clients and customers. The intention is to give the new visitor to our site a sense of the quality and care we put into everything we do.
This is the email which inspired me to get this page going. We received it yesterday. This customer wanted a box which had geo-cache capability so that when his girlfriend received it, she would have to find the perfect spot so it would open.
We got the box today! Thanks for everything and getting this dropped off and sent out so quickly. WOW! I’m very impressed with the box- so much that words could never truly depict my feelings about the box.
Very well constructed and you both did an amazing job. It is
truly a work of art. The photos did not do the box justice. Everything seems to be perfect. I really commend both of you – for creating such an amazing box. I know it was difficult dealing with me and my many requests. But you were able to take all of my info and turn it into a working box. Something I know is not an easy task to do. You are going to be a part (well the box is) in making one girl very happy. And I know it’s going to be something the both of us will remember and cherish forever. so thank you again- for being apart of this project.
Please let me know if there is anything I can ever do to help you. If there are any sites- where we could post a customer testimonial and anything we can help spread the word about your business. one very happy/satisfied customer.

We received this pleasant surprise out of the blue few months ago.
Dear Alice and Ed Suszynski,
My name is Bouke Willem Hollinga, I was born and raised in The Netherlands and attended an art and jewelry academy over there. I emigrated to the US in 1971. I have been making fine jewelry and objects of art for over 40 years. I work primarily in gold and platinum, but also in other media. After nearly 2 hours surfing the Google web under the heading “ handmade wooden jewelry boxes” seeing well over a hundred web sides, I came across your web side and was smitten by the elegance of your design, choice of woods and execution. The reason I am contacting you is, because I made a set of Chinese chopstick’s with holder and cup in ebony wood, 24 carat gold, emeralds, rubies and diamonds. I would like you to make a box for me, for these items. I liked the style and choice of woods of the Heron box for silverware and I am open for other suggestions.
We communicated throughout the process with Bouke approving as we went and after we sent the box we received this lovely affirmation about what we did.
Beautiful, Beautiful, Beautiful, worthy of my chopstick set. I am glad to have found you and have you to this job for me. The fit is perfect, the finish is perfect, “THANK YOU”. I will make pictures of the box with the set in the coming days and mail them to you. I was going to ask you for business cards and I forgot, but you included some which is great so I can represent you as the maker of the box. The set is going to be viewed in a fine jewelry store at the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco. A friend of mine owns that store and we both apprenticed under the same master “Orlando Feriozzi” My friend’s name is Robin Woolard, check out his website You will hear from me. Greetings, Bouke
The couple who commissioned the piece pictured here came into my shop last summer. They were visiting the Sierra, primarily, but they had been looking for a credenza for their home in Carlsbad,CA for a while. They weren’t sure what the style would be. They knew the size and the function. We exchanged drawings and finally refined it into the lovely piece you see below. Lori and Carl picked it up in their truck and because it comes apart they were able to fit it in the bed.
We are so happy. We got everything together and it all looks great! We LOVE our new sideboard, and I can’t wait to serve my Thanksgiving buffet on it. I hope you will think it looks great too…. I know the trim on the sub-top is not what you pictured, but we like it and hope you are OK with it too. Thank you so much for all the work you put into this, it will have a long and happy life! Lori & Carl
This gentleman is the target customer for our brand new website Ready To Build.http://buildjewelryboxes.comWe provide all of the parts to build every jewelry box on our Dream Mountain Studio site. He obviously had the knowledge but not the tools or the space. He will be customizing his box with inlays. I will order from the web-site…
I found you by searching for jewelry box kits. I was wanting to make one for my wife, but don’t have all the BIG tools needed to start from scratch…
Your site was BY FAR the best in offering a very nice kit (not just a square box with a top)…I’m looking forward to making it. I also plan on customizing it with some inlays (that’s why I was looking for plain fronts versus design)
Sincerely, Russell Weir
